Jesus took the five loaves of bread and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and asked God’s blessings on the food.
What can we be thankful for?
We can thank God for sending Jesus’ our blessed and Powerful Savior, who gave us Salvation and Eternal Life…
We can thank God for His Holy Spirit’s fruit; Peace, Joy…
We can thank God for the Bible…
We can thank God for Family, Friends, leaders, country...
We can thank God for every day for waking up and breathing, the gift of life
We can thank God for His Provision of life’s basic needs, such as food, clothing, shoes, shelter…
We can thank God for helping us through our troubles, grief, pains…
We can thank God for answered prayers…
We can thank God for everything good in our world and in our life… etc.
Are there things I can be thankful for even when circumstances are not going well?
His faithful Love endures forever!
For giving us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our
Lord, a gift wonderful beyond words!
No matter what happens always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Jesus. You can thank him for his unchanging, perfect character.
You can thank Him also for his Love for you, his faithfulness, for His Mercy. You can thank Him for Victory over death and for keeping his promises!
How can I develop an attitude of thanksgiving?
♥Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and will all your strength… Gratitude is linked with love,
♥Discipline yourself, to make time every day, to GIVE THANKS to God. Make a mental list of God’s blessings in your life-especially the most recent ones- and thank Him for them.
♥Also you can write down, a “Gratitude Journal.”
Challenge: writing down every day 3 or more reasons for you are grateful, for 90 days.
Don’t wait to feel thankful before giving thanks… Giving thanks will lead you to feeling thankful.
Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God! How delightful and how right!
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, we thank you for loving us, and sending your son to save us and give us Everlasting Life. Help us to continue to develop an attitude of gratitude, and to continue sharing the good news of Salvation. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
