For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only SON, that whoever BELIEVES in Him shall not perish but have Eternal Life. For God did not send His SON into the world to condemn the world, but to SAVE the world through him.

John 3:16-17.

LOVE is Patient, LOVE is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always HOPES, always perseveres. LOVE never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Meditation:

God’s love is one of the most familiar themes in Scripture, yet it’s also the one we often struggle to fully grasp. Two passages—John 3:16–17 and 1 Corinthians 13:4–8—give us a powerful picture of what this love looks like and how it can transform the way we live...

A Love That Gives Everything

John 3:16–17 reminds us that God’s love is not passive or distant. It’s a love that moves. It gives. It sacrifices. It reaches into our brokenness not to condemn us, but to rescue us. This is the foundation of Christian faith: a God who doesn’t wait for us to be perfect before loving us but meets us exactly where we are.

When we let this truth sink in, it reshapes how we see ourselves. We’re not defined by our failures or our past. We’re defined by a love that chose us first.

A Love That Shows Up in Everyday Moments

If John 3:16–17 shows us the depth of God’s love, 1 Corinthians 13:4–8 shows us its texture—what it looks like in action. Love is patient. Love is kind. It doesn’t envy or boast. It doesn’t keep score. It never gives up.

These aren’t just poetic lines; they’re a blueprint for daily living.

Imagine what would shift in your life if you practiced even one of these qualities intentionally each day...

Patience in traffic. Kindness in a rushed conversation. Humility when you want to prove a point. Forgiveness when someone disappoints you. These small choices become powerful reflections of God’s heart.

Applying God’s Love in Daily Life

Here are a few simple but meaningful ways to live out this kind of love:

1. Start with receiving

You can’t give what you haven’t received. Take a moment each morning to remind yourself: I am deeply loved by God. Let that truth soften your heart before the day begins.

2. Practice patience on purpose

Patience isn’t natural—it’s chosen. When frustration rises, pause. Breathe. Respond slowly. That pause is often where love has room to work.

3. Choose kindness even when it’s inconvenient

Kindness isn’t just being “nice.” It’s seeing people the way God sees them. A gentle word, a small act of generosity, or a moment of compassion can change someone’s entire day.

4. Let go of the scoreboard

Love doesn’t keep a record of wrongs. That means releasing grudges, refusing to replay old hurts, and choosing peace over being right.

5. Love with endurance

God’s love never fails—and while we’re imperfect, we can reflect that endurance by showing up consistently for the people in our lives, even when it’s hard.

A Love That Transforms Us

When we allow God’s love to shape our thoughts, our reactions, and our relationships, we don’t just become “better people.” We become living expressions of the Gospel. We become reminders of the God who loved the world so much that He gave everything.

And the beautiful thing is this: every day gives us a new opportunity to practice that love again.

Prayer:

Gracious Heavenly Father thank you for loving us, sending JESUS who paid in full for everyone, saving and giving us Eternal Life! Help us to remember your love every day by joyfully sharing the GOSPEL and our personal testimony to all people. In JESUS' name we pray, Amen!

Jose Reyes.
