“Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:10-18
Meditation:
There is a Spiritual war, Every day we are under the attacks of the enemy. So, we need Full Protection, the whole Armour of God... put it on every moment!
Let's look at some examples of how the armor of God protects us from the temptations and influence of satan. When the devil tempts us to lie; The belt of truth reminds us that God is the truth, and that we are to walk in the light as he is in the light.
When satan accuses us of our sins, the breastplate of righteousness, reminds us that God has forgiven us, and made us righteous through Jesus Christ, and that there is no condemnation for those who are in him.
When it discourages us from sharing the gospel... gospel footwear reminds us; that God has given us the mission to be His witnesses, and that He has given us the power and authority to do so...!
When it attacks us with doubts, fears, anxieties or sorrows... the Shield of Faith reminds us that God is Faithful, and that He fulfills all His promises and works Miracles.
When the enemy makes us believe that we are not saved; the helmet of salvation, reminds us that God has given us Salvation and Eternal Life when we accept Jesus and the Sword of the Holy Spirit which is the word of God and when we Pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests!
With this in mind, be alert! and always keep on praying for all the LORD’s people!
Prayer:
Our Father in Heaven Holy be your name! Thank you for Loving, saving and protecting us through Jesus!!! Give us wisdom every day to put on the whole amour of you, walking in your Holy Spirit and living a Victorious life in your Son’s name! Give us the courage to spread the Good News of Salvation to everyone! In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
