The United States of America is called "the Land of the free…"
I have to say that it is pretty far from the truth. Although the founding fathers in the Revolutionary War times certainly fought to be free from England (as did many other countries against the Imperialists), yet it is not free as many people believe.
FREEDOM can mean total absence of restraint to merely a sense of not being unduly hampered or frustrated. It does not mean EVERYTHING is free! Freedom comes at a price, whether it requires leaving everything you have behind or working hard to survive. The one thing we do have here is freedom of choice. We have the freedom to fight for our freedoms openly in court. There are more lawyers in the city of New York than in all of China, the most populous nation on earth!
Freedom is misunderstood by many. God handsomely rewards those that are the most obedient: King David, Abraham, Jacob. To serve the Lord is to serve the people. The laws and word of God are not meant to restrict us, they are meant to help us. If we followed the word of God, the world would improve to an unfathomable degree. Freedom from God is not freedom at all: it is being lost, wandering the desert without a guide, unable to find the path.
If you feel lost, do all that you can to find God. Accept Jesus as your personal Savior. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Could John have ever known how important the words that he wrote would be, and that they would be read for hundreds of years by and for billions of people? I ask you, can you imagine doing something that would make such an impact?
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another.. 1John1:7
Hold this verse dear in your heart. Ask God how you can make your biggest impact, how to touch as many hearts as you can, to the best of your ability.
Seek the fellowship of other Christians and people that you trust, because together, we will create a light in the darkness, and the darkness will not overcome it.
Go from where you are and love the Lord, love each other, serve the Lord, and serve the people. Leave everything else, to God.
Children of God, believers in Christ, I ask that the blessings of all our hearts and the meditations of all our souls always be acceptable in the sight of the Lord. He is our rock, our shield, our strength, and our redeemer.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus, to pay in full for our sins and set us free indeed, He truly is the way, the truth, and the Life. Help us to continue to share the Good News of Salvation, In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!!!
