But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.     Jeremiah 18:4

This was my reading for the day….as I was reading it I realized how it was talking about my life. Let me explain…..when I was in High School I decided I wanted to be a nurse. I studied hard and was preparing for nursing school and then I graduated and it all changed.

I went to work, met a man, got pregnant, got married, had a miscarriage, got pregnant right after and had a baby girl, got divorced and went back to work. No nursing school, no college, I was a single mom with responsibilities.

This cycle carried on for a number of years with another marriage, two more daughters, and another divorce. I was a waitress for one day, worked in offices doing various jobs, took a night class in transcription which led to working in a hospital in the x-ray department. Then to several other jobs where I worked from offices jobs to production work, and got my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and retired working in production. I learned something from each and every job I worked at and gained valuable knowledge in all my studies. I thought my working days were done when I finally retired…..but I was so wrong!

When I retired is when my ‘true’ work really began. I started getting closer to God because I had finally took the time to really talk to God and ask him what I should do with my spare time. That’s when I heard that voice in my head saying “pray for others”. Thus Prayer Place began…..from that came Peaceful Pastures where I pray for others and Post blogs for people to read in hope that someone who needs encouragement, or prayer, or anything can find it there in the quiet.

So as you can see, God is still working on me, one of his ‘clay pots’. And who knows what I will turn out to be.

Have a blessed day everyone. Time to go to ‘work’.

God, I thank you for all the work you have done and are still doing in me. You are the Potter and I am the clay. Thank you for the many ‘pots ‘you have shaped me into and all the knowledge and experience I gained with each and every one. Thank you for still shaping me into the pot you created me to be. Amen
