“I have told you these things, so that in ME you may have PEACE. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:27.
“And the PEACE of GOD, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
Meditation:
In a world marked by wars, crises, diseases, addictions… it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Uncertainty can stir anxiety, fear, and doubt. Yet, as children of God, we are not called to be ruled by the chaos around us—we are invited into a PEACE that surpasses all understanding.
How can we experience this peace and harmony in troubled times? What does the Bible say?
True peace is not found in worldly stability but in our unwavering relationship with Jesus Christ.
“In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16 : 33
This promise reminds us that while difficulties will come, victory has already been secured through JESUS.
Is trusting God really important?
When facing uncertainty, TRUST becomes a lifeline. The Bible assures us that God is in control: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” Isaiah 41:10
Instead of succumbing to fear, we can rest in His sovereignty, knowing He is working all things for our good:
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.
Where do you find Strength and Peace in difficult times?
Stength comes from God’s promises....
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
One of the most powerful ways to experience PEACE is through prayer. Philippians 4:6-7: encourages us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Worship also shifts our focus from difficulties to God’s greatness, allowing His presence to bring CALM to our hearts…
Living your life with an Eternal Perspective.
Many troubles stem from earthly concerns, yet as children of God, our HOPE is in ETERNITY.
2 Corinthians 4: 17-18 reminds us, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
When we set our minds on heavenly things, earthly fears diminish, and PEACE takes root.
Walking in Community and Encouragement.
Isolation can magnify fear, but fellowship with other believers strengthens us. keep in contact in social media and in person.
Hebrews 10:24-25 urges, “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together.” Supporting one another in faith allows us to stand firm in uncertain times.
Peace That Cannot Be Shaken.
No matter the uncertainty, PEACE and HARMONY are available to every believer who seeks refuge in JESUS CHRIST. His love, sovereignty, and presence are unchanging, providing an anchor in life’s storms. As we TRUST in Him, LEAN into His WORD, and walk in community, we will experience a PEACE that transcends every circumstance—a PEACE the world cannot give but one that JESUS freely offers
“PEACE, I leave with you; my PEACE, I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27.
In what ways have you found God’s PEACE in difficult times? How has God helped you through your storms?
Let’s continue to ENCOURAGE one another in FAITH and pray for each other and all the people of the world.
Prayer:
Gracious God thank you for loving, Comforting and giving us PEACE, in the middle of world’s chaos, crises, hate, violence, racism, injustices, persecutions… continue to help us, guide us and renew our FAITH and STRENGTH to continue joyfully spreading the GOSPEL to all people of the world, in JESUS’ name we pray Amen!
Jose Reyes.
