Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who BELIEVES in me will LIVE, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you BELIEVE this?" Matthew 11:25
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17
Meditation:
Every spring, creation seems to preach a sermon long before any pastor steps into a pulpit. Trees that looked dead begin to bud. Flowers push through soil that was frozen only weeks before. Birds return with songs that sound like hope. And in this rhythm of renewal, Christians are reminded of the greatest renewal of all — the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Paul writes,
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Resurrection in the Season of Spring.
Spring gives us a living picture of that truth. What looks lifeless is never beyond God’s power to revive. The empty tomb is God’s declaration that death does not get the final word — not in nature, not in history, and not in us.
Jesus Himself said:
“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet shall he live” (John 11:25).
Spring whispers this promise through every blossom. The resurrection is not just an event we celebrate once a year; it’s a reality we are invited to live in daily.
What the Resurrection Means for Us Today
1. New Life Is Possible
Just as winter gives way to spring, our old patterns, sins, and failures do not define us. Romans 6:4 says we “walk in newness of life” because Christ was raised. That means transformation is not only possible — it’s expected.
2. Hope Is Never Buried Too Deep
The disciples thought the story was over on Friday. But God was writing a chapter they couldn’t see yet. If you’re in a season that feels cold or barren, the resurrection reminds you that God specializes in bringing life out of what looks dead.
3. God Is Always Doing Something Beneath the Surface
Seeds sprout long before we see green. In the same way, God often works in hidden places. Trust that He is moving even when you don’t see immediate change.
How to Live Out Resurrection Life Every Day
Here are practical rhythms that help you embody resurrection life in your daily walk:
1. Start each morning with a resurrection mindset
Before checking your phone, whisper a simple prayer: “Lord, thank You for new life today! Help me walk in it.”
2. Let something old die and something new grow
Ask God to reveal one habit, attitude, or fear to release — and one new practice to cultivate. Examples: replacing complaint with gratitude, fear with Scripture meditation, or hurry with moments of stillness.
3. Look for signs of God’s renewal around you
When you see a blooming tree or feel warm sunlight, let it remind you: “The same God who renews creation is renewing me.”
4. Bring resurrection hope to others
A kind word, a prayer, a small act of generosity — these are ways we participate in God’s renewing work.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 encourages us to let our light shine so others see God through us.
5. Worship like someone who has been raised
Resurrection people worship with gratitude, not obligation. Let worship — in song, in prayer, in obedience — be your daily declaration that Jesus is alive
Spring is God’s annual reminder that resurrection is not just a doctrine — it’s a rhythm woven into creation itself. As you watch the world come alive again, let it stir your heart to remember: the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in you today...
"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms....." (Ephesians 1:19–20).
Let's Walk in NEWNESS of life!
Prayer:
Our Gracious God thank you! for giving us Salvation, and a new Spiritual Eternal life through Jesus' resurrection!
Remind us every day to live focusing and TRUSTING in you and guide us with your Holy Spirit to do your will as we joyfully spread the gospel to everyone! in Jesus' name we pray, Amen!
Jose Reyes.
