I know this blog will probably ruffle a lot of feathers, but hear me out. Read this without judgement and don’t stop until you read it to the end. Then if you disagree with me or hate what I have said so be it, but give me a chance to explain……
God created everything in the universe from the smallest microbe to the largest mammal and of course the universe itself. So yes everyone is God’s child from the best to the worst. Now don’t get me wrong, I know there are people who do not believe in God and I know there are many different religions and beliefs in the world, but regardless of their beliefs God created them and they are his children. When a person becomes a parent their children, no matter whether they are good or bad, are their children. You do not stop loving your child just because they are bad or they don’t love you. You love your child until your last breath and beyond.
God created all of us and loves us regardless if we love him or not. Like a loving parent God is waiting for us to come back home. And like any other parent God does not control our actions, we are responsible for our actions and our thoughts and beliefs. Like any other parent God merely shows us the right path and it is up to us to choose the path we wish to take, His or ours….
God cannot “force” us to do his bidding any more than you can force your rebellious or difficult child to do what you want. But just like God, just because your child does not do what you want doesn’t stop you from loving them or calling them your child. So why would God not love those who don’t necessarily love or recognize him? Why would he not call them his children? In my opinion he would not.
I believe God loves all his children regardless of their beliefs, attitudes, mistakes, or obedience. Like any parent God, also has boundaries and rules and consequences for our wrong doings. Every parent has rules for their children; boundaries to keep them safe and rules to keep them from harm or harming others. Every parent has consequences for their children’s disobedience so why wouldn’t God have consequences for our wrong doings?
For me God is the perfect Parent and that is why I believe that God loves All his children not just certain ones. What is really important is that God is always there for us, waiting for us to come to him and have a relationship with him. He is waiting for all his children to come home, yes even the rebellious, stubborn, and unruly ones. He is waiting for us to recognize him, and I believe that when a rebellious child dies without recognizing him, God cries because He still loved that child even though the child did not love him and he misses him because that child will never come home. God has a celebration when one of his children comes home to him, but He cries when one doesn’t.
You may think I’m crazy, but so be it. I believe in God with my whole heart and I know when I go home there will be a celebration. Will God celebrate your homecoming or will he cry? Think about it……
